Software/Systems Engineer

Position Opportunity

  • Direct role in advancing commercial drone delivery market working with market leaders in the drone delivery space

  • Establish performance metrics and validate systems for low altitude commercial drone traffic management

  • Design and implement software analysis tools to process data from a variety of surveillance systems (ex: radar, comms, gps truth, etc)

  • Work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems, delivering results, and growing the organization

General Responsibilities

  • Perform system and subsystem level simulations and modeling

  • Statistical and phenomenological analysis of large multi-parameter datasets

  • Contribute to and consult with a cross-disciplinary team of systems, digital, RF,  and mechanical engineers to support the development of new products

  • Generation of public white-papers and other technical documentation

  • Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation

  • Participate in design and code reviews

  • Automate and improve workflows when possible

  • Document and clearly communicate designs to peers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE or Software Engineering (EE with strong programming background is acceptable)

  • 2 or more (5+ preferred) years industry experience

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and take initiative to overcome technical challenges

  • Experience with Python; MATLAB, Web technologies, C++, and other object-oriented languages a plus

  • Working knowledge of Linux based operating systems
